Freestyle Audio Fusion DMP 512 (512MB)
CNET.com has taken a look at Freestyle Audio Fusion DMP 512 (512MB) and in their review, they give it a ‘Good’ rating, 6.0 out of 10. They write:
The good: The light and compact Freestyle Audio Fusion DMP Waterproof MP3 Player can be fully submerged in up to 10 feet of water for use in the pool, the surf, the lake, or the mountains, and the MP3 player comes with a neoprene armband.
The bad: Unfortunately, the pricey Freestyle Audio Fusion DMP Waterproof MP3 Player suffers from poor navigation controls and horrible earbuds. Sound quality also could be better.
The bottom line: The Freestyle Audio Fusion DMP Waterproof MP3 Player makes a splash by letting you take music with you into the surf and beyond, but we’re not too stoked about the difficult control buttons, the poor headphones, and frankly, the price. |
SurferMag.com has also reviewed the Freestyle Audio Fusion DMP. They write ‘One product that grabbed some serious attention this weekend was a completely waterproof MP3 player designed and produced by Freestyle Audio. The completely submergible, skip-free, durable, and super lightweight product (unit weight is less than 25 grams) is a dream come true for surfers, swimmers, wakeboarders, and anyone else who would want to listen to tunes in places where they might get very wet.’
WakeWord has posted a review for Freestyle Audio Fusion. The review is for DMP 256 instead of DMP 512. They write ‘Now call me old school, but I’ve just recently been turned on to the whole downloading music thing, so this little package couldn’t have come at a better time. Liquid Tunes is a waterproof MP3 player designed to be worn while you’re wakeboarding. It’s a lightweight, completely sealed, shock-resistant unit that includes headphones and is available in 256 MB and 512 MB models. To load it with music you plug it right into the USB port on your computer with the provided cable and start dropping MP3 files on it like it’s just another hard drive. The USB connection is also the method used for charging up its internal battery.’
Hooked on the Outdoors has given a good review for Freestyle Audio Fusion DMP Waterproof MP3 Player. They concluded ‘Over all we are extremely impressed with the Fusion. It’s functional, tough, has incredible battery life, and can go anywhere. There are currently three models available: 128, 256 and 512 MB of memory, with retail prices of $130, $200, and $250 respectively. Whether surfing or snowboarding, running or swimming, the Fusion is ready to go! Let the city folk have their fragile, fangled players–when you’re ready for the speed and motion (above and below the surface) of action sports, the Fusion is the only way to go.’
