DLO TransPod FM Transmitter for Apple iPod Reviews

DLO TransPod let you plays your iPod through your car’s stereo, so you can concentrate on the road. You can stop having to select radio stations while you drive. Instead, listen to your favourite music on the go with this TransPod FM transmitter for the Apple iPod.

CNET has reviewed DLO TransPod and writes

The good: The DLO TransPod, designed for all existing iPods and other audio devices, features a combination charger/FM transmission cradle that is built for easy access and includes plastic adapters for both the iPod Mini and the iPod Nano. Its strong FM signal means static-free, wireless MP3 playback and excellent sound quality.

The bad: Setting up the cradle and arm of the DLO TransPod to fit the layout of your vehicle can be a hassle, and the supporting arm feels flimsy and easy to break. The overall design is bulky.

The bottom line: A worthy addition to your collection of iPod accessories, the DLO TransPod is one of the best FM transmitters on the market today.

the gadgeteer has reviewed the DLO TransPod FM Transmitter Car Kit for iPod - ‘Finding the most convenient way to listen to the tunes on your Apple iPod, while in your vehicle can sometimes be a daunting task. Do you lay it beside you on the seat and route the audio through your car stereo using a cassette adapter? Or maybe you use a separate FM transmitter like the iTrip? While both of these methods will work, neither will charge your iPod while it plays music, and neither will securely cradle your iPod in a comfortable viewing angle like DLO’s TransPod. Available in Black, White and Silver, this cradle / charger / FM transmitter is compatible with 3rd gen, 4th gen, mini and nano models.’

ATPM.com has posted a review for DLO TransPod FM Transmitter and writes - ‘I have been looking for an iPod vehicle mount for some time. My past experiences with FM transmitters had me using a cassette adapter with my iPod. I am pleased to say that the TransPod FM has answered my desires, for now at any rate. I wish DLO offered a non-invasive dash mount, but this doesn’t take away from the TransPod’s operating ability.’

Macworld Magazine has reviewed DLO TransPod FM Transmitter and writes ‘

The TransPod combines the best iPod-to-FM-radio transmitter we’ve heard with an adjustable mounting arm and a charger for the iPod’s battery. Its stronger signal and full-dial frequency support…make it eminently usable.’

New York Times writes ‘A way to beat the battery blues…Using the car to power the iPod means the music can keep rolling long beyond the player’s eight-hour battery life.’

DLO official website says - ‘The all-new DLO TransPod features a smaller, sleeker design with a beautiful curved form and easy-access controls. Its new intelligent power control automatically turns the TransPod on when the iPod is docked and off when the TransPod is not in use. It features front-based tuning buttons for easy navigation of FM stations and side-based buttons that control backlight and preset functions.’
